Take a magical candle-lit walk through the Yakima Area Arboretum’s wintry landscape. Their mile-long loop trail will be lit by the light of over 1000 candles and multiple light displays for you and your family to enjoy. The Jewett Interpretive Center will be open for bathroom breaks, shopping, and warming up. On the courtyard you’ll find cozy propane fire tables, and Blissful Bites selling their freshly made doughnuts and warm drinks. Be sure to dress for cold weather.
Yakima Transit will be offering their FREE shuttle service from the Kiwanis Park Playfields located at 1501 E. Maple Street. The entrance into the Arboretum will be closed starting at 5:00 PM both nights. Only City Shuttles and vehicles with official handicap parking placards will be allowed through. Parking in designated areas only. A map and further details can be found on the home page at ahtrees.org.
The Arboretum loves putting on this event each year, but it does require extra volunteers and costs.
