Yakima Valley hosting the 41st Annual MLK JR Celebration
Yakima County is set to celebrate the 41st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration with the theme “Reinvesting in Our Community.” The event will feature activities designed to bring the community together in unity. The highlight of the celebration will be a Peace Walk and Celebration on January 19. The Peace Walk will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the corner of 5th Avenue and MLK Boulevard in Yakima, followed by a celebration at the Yakima Convention Center. The day will end with a community Soup Kitchen at 2:30 p.m. at the Henry Beauchamp Community Center in Yakima. List of events below:

District Schools (Donations will be delivered to Northwest Harvest in Honor

Winter Carnival at White Pass Ski Area
The amazing volunteer crew constructs a massive snow castle. The castle is open to the public from Saturday 10am – 5pm & Sunday 10am – 3pm. The castle opens for tubing at 10am both Saturday and Sunday. The Kids’ Obstacle Course Race will take place at 11am on Saturday and Sunday. Night skiing from 2pm until 8pm and is included with a day ticket or season pass. Watch for the Torchlight Parade and the Fireworks beginning at 7pm Saturday evening! Music – family-friendly dance party! Sno-Go Demos all weekend! Below is the schedule of events…
